The countdown for Miss Universe 2021 has started and the world will see a new Miss Universe on December 12th (Maybe some countries will see it on December 13th)
Due to the rapidly spreading infection of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, Israel has closed its borders to foreign nationals. However, the Jewish country has stated unequivocally that it will have no impact on the upcoming ‘Miss Universe 2021 Pageant’ event.
The event will take place in the resort town of Eliot, near the Red Sea in southern Israel. This area is close to Jordan. This event is attracting a large number of women from around the world.
On Sunday (November 28, 2021), Israel’s Minister of Tourism, Joel Razvazov, announced relief for these participants. A day earlier, it was announced that foreign nationals would be denied entry.
These participants, however, will be required to follow all medical and government guidelines regarding Kovid-19, as well as undergo a PCR test every two days. This information was provided by Minister Razvazov following the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday.
“This is a program that will be broadcast in 174 countries,” he explained. This is a significant occasion. This is an event that Eliot desperately needs. We can organize such programs with the help of the waiver committee. Because our country has already committed to this, it cannot be canceled.” Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has stated that in order to keep the country open on the inside, those coming from outside must be barred.
The ‘Miss Universe 2021 pageant’ will be held in Israel for the first time on December 12, 2021.
Due to the Omicron Kovid-19 variant, the Middle-Eastern country initially prohibited the entry of citizens from seven South African countries and then prohibited the entry of all foreign nationals. This variant has 32 mutations, more than any other coronavirus.
In Israel, there have already been two instances of this. South Africa’s government withdrew its support for the Miss South Africa Organization in November after refusing to boycott the ceremony in Israel.
The History of Miss Universe Crown
In the pageant history of 69 years, 11 crowns have been used and the latest one was inducted in 2017. With every new crown, the design has been upgraded or changed. From 2002 the crown sponsorship has become a lucrative way to min money from sponsors.
