Tamara Jemuovic was born and raised in Toronto. Tamara takes pride in her ability to communicate in a variety of languages. The 5’9″ model from Canada motivates young girls to challenge stereotypes while providing everyday examples of doing and becoming better.
She is not just a beauty queen but an ambidextrous woman who does pageant, real estate, and cosmetic business, a philanthropist, an animal lover, a social media star, and above all a fighter.
Tamara has visited over 30 countries, lived in four of them, and acquired two dogs while traveling abroad. Tamara has a strong desire to go to new locations and to live life on the edge. She was the first runner-up of Miss Universe Canada in 2019 but due to the pandemic, the 2020 pageant was canceled.
So the authorities decided to crown her Miss Universe Canada and now she is representing Canada in Miss Universe 2021 in Israel.
Tamara Jemuovic was the first runner-up and won the people’s choice award at the Miss World Canada contest held at River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond, Canada, on May 9, 2013.
Tamara Jemuovic discovered her interest in pageantry at a young age, where she was able to use her personality and desire for spreading platforms she is passionate about. She started working at a very young age as her parents were not that well off financially.
Tamara was crowned Miss Earth Canada 2016 and Miss Globe Canada 2019. Both provided her with a wonderful experience, but they also fueled her desire to vie for the title of Miss Universe Canada.
Aside from her work in the entertainment sector, she is a self-employed, award-winning real estate broker and the CEO and Founder of PHNX Cosmetics. She has been nominated for the nationally coveted “Canadian REALTORS Care Award 2021” for her achievements in her field and services to her community. She has always differentiated herself via her unwavering ambition and desire to give back.
Tamara is the CEO and Founder of PHNX Cosmetics. A makeup line that employs only natural materials, is cruelty-free, and is created in Canada.
Tamara holds an Honours Degree from the University of Toronto, as well as graduate studies at the University of Hawaii and a Real Estate License from the Ontario Real Estate College.
Tamara adopted a dog from a local shelter during her studies abroad. A few years later, she returned home with a dog from a trip. She is the spokesperson for “HOT PAWS,” a fundraising organization that helps local animal shelters and international rescue operations.
She believes that animals are extremely vulnerable since they rely on people to keep them healthy, safe, and happy. Tamara strives to educate people about the importance of animal protection and to raise awareness about animal cruelty prevention.
She has participated in sports such as volleyball, basketball, skating, cheerleading, skiing, triple long jump, swimming, 200m sprint, and 400m relay.
Tamara Jemuovic is fluent in six languages, including English, Bosnian, Croatian, French, Serbian, and Spanish.
