Thessaly Zimmerman is a young woman who is fluent in four languages: Dutch, Papiamento, English, and West Frisian.
Miss Universe Aruba 2021, Thessaly Zimmerman, was crowned at a special ceremony on July 30 at the Mosaic House in Oranjestad. The 26-year-old social media coordinator and communications graduate is competing in the 70th Miss Universe pageant, which is being held in Eilat, Israel. Helen Hernandez, the winner from the previous year, was succeeded by her.
Thessaly Zimmerman, the new beauty queen, attended Colegio Arubano in Oranjestad from 2006 to 2013. In May 2010, she began raising funds for cancer research through the Koningin Wilhelmina Kanker Fund Aruba.
Thessaly Zimmerman also competed in Aruba Model Search, finishing in the Top 7, and worked for KOMA Models in Aruba for four years. In April 2013, she began raising funds for the Mary Joan Aruba Foundation’s Breast Cancer Fund.
Miss Teen Aruba International 2012 Thessaly Zimmerman also represented Aruba at Miss Teen Americas 2013 in El Salvador. She came in second place, trailing Panama’s Fulvia Villarreal.
Thessaly moved to Amsterdam at the age of 19 to pursue her studies at Hogeschool Utrecht in the Netherlands, where she studied International Communications and Media and earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications. She has also studied Marketing and Music Management at University.
Thessaly works as a social media manager at a digital marketing agency in Aruba. She is a vocal advocate for mental health and has been collaborating with various health organizations and the government of Aruba on a campaign to raise awareness about mental health.

Thessaly enjoys assisting the youth and does so by being a member of a youth empowering group that discusses various topics and teaches them self-love, empowerment, and how to be a future leader of the society.

Aside from her charitable work, Thessaly is an avid athlete who has always enjoyed sports and was fortunate enough to excel at them by being the number one ranked tennis player in her age category for many years. She has represented her country with distinction in a number of international competitions.
In addition to tennis, she competed in track and field for many years and excelled at a high level, winning numerous medals during her competitions.
To relax and recharge, Thessaly loves to travel and has been to 26 countries and loves to learn about the people, culture, food, and dance styles. Thessaly is a creative and driven individual who aspires to be a TV host or actress.

The Aruban government has appointed her as Aruba’s Ambassador. With this platform, she hopes to become a role model for the youth, someone who is always willing to help and guide them when they are in need. Not only that, but she will continue her advocacy for mental health with the government of Aruba in order to raise mental health awareness.
She speaks and reads four languages and has visited 27 countries, including Israel, where she is currently competing for Miss Universe. She intends to carry on the spree. She wants to see as much of the world as she can. She enjoys meeting new people and gaining knowledge from them.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications while studying in the Netherlands, and she now works as a Social Media Manager at a Digital Marketing Agency.
