Religious Views

Urfi does not believe in Islam. “To be absolutely honest, I don’t believe in Islam and I’ve never believed in it,” she remarked in an interview. Many aspects of Islam, in my opinion, are regressive, but so are many of other religions. The world is changing at a rapid speed, but religions are not, and as a result, some individuals are falling behind. This is the primary cause of the generation divide since people are unwilling to change. I dislike the idea that Islam permits four weddings. Triple talaq was outlawed, and I believe it was for the best.”

She is opposed to religiously imposed limits on women. “In Islam, there are many things why women should wear burkha and keep behind a parda, and I don’t understand these things,” she stated. It’s fine if a girl wants to do it willingly. “One should not impose one’s views on others.”

She also stated unequivocally that she would never marry a Muslim man. “I am a Muslim girl,” she explained. The majority of the hate mail I receive is from Muslims. They claim that I am ruining Islam’s image. They despise me because Muslim men expect their wives to act a specific way. They want to have complete control over all of the ladies in the town. Because of this, I do not believe in Islam. They troll me because I don’t behave the way they expect me to according to their religion.”

She posted a series of Instagram posts in which she accused casting director Obed Afridi of abusing teenage models. She alleged that Obed did not compensate her for her efforts. She even claimed that Obed sexually harassed girls in return for modelling gigs.

She provided screenshots of the discussions and said that five separate ladies made identical claims. Several celebrities, like Priyank Sharma, Nikita Bhamidipati, and Arushi Handa, supported Urfi by sharing tales that agreed with her.
