Katy Perry, the global pop superstar, will release her first NFT outfit for her fans all over the world on ThetaDrop on December 15 in collaboration with Theta Network.
The first of these digital collectables, titled “The Roar Package: Looking Back While Moving Forward,” features Katy’s personal content in preparation for her upcoming “Play” Residency at the Resorts World Las Vegas hotel, which begins on December 29.
Katy Perry will auction off the iconic “Golden Lion” from her 2015 global view performance to commemorate this launch event. Katy opened her performance on top of a giant golden lion, as more than 100 million fans from 130 countries will recall, singing his 2013 song “Roar,” which topped the music charts in twelve countries. Fans will be able to bid on this physical icon as a one-of-a-kind NFT, a behind-the-scenes limited edition of Katy giving herself a boost. in honour of the Theta partnership, as well as NFT digital collectables.

Beyond simple digital art collectables, these Theta NFTs bridge the physical and digital worlds to provide tangible value to their owners while also capturing a piece of the live experience. Upcoming NFTs will provide Katy Perry fans with enviable and one-of-a-kind experiences such as merchandise, access to her nostalgia store, backstage access to shows, meetups with her, and greetings from her at her Las Vegas home.

“When I start a residency in Las Vegas, I’m following in the footsteps of some of my personal heroes, but we always approach it a little differently,” Katy Perry says. “Unlike other residencies, fans will have the opportunity to own a piece of the program and of my musical history in the form of Theta NFT; the moments we’re auctioning are particularly important to me and serve as a kind of reel of my past and present for my career, so they’re very important and personal.”
