Bahrain will have its first representative in the Miss Universe pageant in 2021 as the Asian country making its debut with Manar Nadeem Deyani.
25-year-old fashion design student named Manar Nadeem Deyani, who is making history as the first beauty queen from this Asian country to represent it in the world’s most important female image competition.

Manar Nadeem Deyani, a young Dubai resident, was recently named as her country’s representative in the Miss Universe world beauty pageant, the winner of which will be crowned on December 12 in the Israeli city of Eilat.
“I may be the shortest candidate in Miss Universe history, but I stand tall representing a country full of love, peace, and kindness,” Deyani wrote on his personal Instagram account, words that are significant because she is only 1.55 or 5 feet 2 inches meters tall.

“We are honored to name a woman like Manar ‘Jess’ Deyani, who embodies the grace, passion, and inspiration of a modern and respectful beauty queen,” a Miss Universe Bahrain spokeswoman told El Nacional.
Manar, also known as Jess by her friends and family, hopes to raise awareness about issues such as mental health, equality, and inclusion through her participation in Miss Universe 2021, a platform that will inspire many people to feel more comfortable in their own skin and demonstrate that beauty standards have changed.
In Israel, she has been styled by famous Indian celebrity makeup artist Vimi Joshi.

Manar Nadeem Deyani has also commented on comments claiming that Miss Universe is a female beauty pageant that has stagnated in its handling and logistics, stating that everything is a matter of perspective; for her part, she sees this type of event as an opportunity to celebrate diversity and unity within a framework of respect for it.
