Beating 50 other contestants Miss Kentucky Elle Smith has won the Miss USA 2021 crown. Sydni Dion Bennett: Miss Illinois is named as the 3rd runner up and Ashley Carino: Miss Florida is named as the 2nd runner up.

Her personal Instagram id is @elle_to_the_no_ and she made her home state Kentucky proud by winning the title. She is a fitness freak and goes to the gym every day. she starts her day at 5 AM ususally.

Elle earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in May 2020.

As a Wildcat, Elle Smith served as vice president of the UK chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, as a reporter for the UK Student News Network, and as a cameraman for UK Athletics and the SEC Network.

Her experiences in the United Kingdom also led her into the fast-paced world of pageantry. In May 2021, she competed in her first pageant, representing Georgetown and winning the title of Miss Kentucky USA.

Elle claims that her participation in pageants does not detract from her professionalism as a journalist, despite what some may say.

“There will always be people who believe pageants exploit people and just exhibit brainless beauties,” she remarked. She isn’t bothered by the hostility. Instead, she stated that she finds strength and confidence in her work.

“When I walk in a bikini, I’m demonstrating the hard work that I put in every day to have a beautiful body and a good lifestyle,” Elle explained. “I disagree with anyone who claims you can’t be professional while wearing a swimsuit.”

Despite her commanding presence on and off stage, Elle admits to having insecurities. She stated that being a pageant queen does not make you immune to self-doubt.

“Everyone has insecurities,” she explained. “No one is 100 per cent confident, whether you’re stepping across the stage or not.”

Elle Smith, a WHAS11 employee, may have that opportunity. Elle will compete for the title of Miss Universe.

This year’s event will not be broadcast on any networks. The pageant can only be viewed via streaming or online. It begins at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
