Irina Starshenbaum shared a black Instagram post. She wrote in this post, “How did we arrive at this point? Why do we remember May 9th? How much did the war hurt and how much did we suffer as a result of it? I’m not going to believe it. We didn’t pick it. No one can justify war, and I’m at a loss for words to express my sadness and fear this morning. Please forgive me for being helpless, Ukrainians. We demand an immediate halt to these heinous crimes.
Danila Kozlovsky, an actress, also posted a black post opposing the war. Fear and shame, he wrote, believe that there should be no war. Aside from that, Cardi B, Stephen King, and Piers Morgan have all spoken out about Russia’s and Ukraine’s conflict. Cardi B stated that leaders should let go of their power egos and focus on the citizens.3
