One would think that after making her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan’s Antim: The Final Truth, actress Mahima Makwana would be swamped with movie offers, but that is not the case. Mahima recently spoke with a top newspaper on the industry’s instability and said that she has yet to sign her second project following Antim.

Mahima Makwana was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father died when she was only five months old. “Chetan Makwana” is his older brother. Mahima has always had a passion for acting and dancing. She had always wanted to be an actress. As a result, Mahima Makwana began her professional career at the age of ten.
“Mahima Makwana” began her career in television commercials and modelling. She made her television debut as a child artist in 2009 with the Colors TV serial “Balika Vadhu,” in which she played the role of Gauri. Following that, she appeared in a number of TV serials and shows. She has been starring as Rani Dave opposite “Akshat Sukhija” in the Colors TV series “Shubharambh” since 2019.

A career in television
Makwana began auditioning for acting roles at the age of ten and has appeared in a few commercials. On Colors Television, he made his television debut in Mohe Rang De. Mahima played the role of Gudiya/Gauri in the Colors TV serial Balika Vadhu in 2009, and Makwana has also appeared in CID, Aahat, Mile Jab Hum Tum, and Jhansi Ki Rani.
Mahima’s breakthrough came in 2011 when she was cast as the lead in Imagine TV’s ‘Saware Sabke Sapne.. Preeto’. Mahima’s career took off when she landed the lead role in Zee TV’s blockbuster soap opera ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke’.
In an interview, Mahima stated that getting to this point in her career was not easy, and Makwana had auditioned for over 500 times before Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. Makwana went on to star in Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane and Adhuri Kahani Hamari after Sapne Suhane Ladakpan.
Mahima appeared as Mandira in an episode of Zing’s youth show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya in 2015, opposite Nikhil Chaddha.
Mahima played the lead character, Baldev Singh, in the Star Plus show ‘Rishton Ka Chakravyuh’ in 2017.
Mahima appeared as the female lead in the Star Plus show Mariam Khan – Reporting Live in 2018. The actress played Rani Dave Reshammiya in Colors Television’s Shubharambha from December 2019 to November 2020.
Career in film
Mahima made her Telugu film debut in 2017 with Venkatapuram.
Makwana also played Natasha in the short film Take 2, which premiered on September 27, 2019. Simultaneously, the film was officially selected and premiered at the 10th Jagran Film Festival 2019, as well as the 10th Zumba Film Festival, where it won the award for ‘Best Foreign Film.’ Real-time Film Festival, Nigeria, 2020, and won ‘Best Festival Themed Film,’ as well as premiering at Asian Film Festival, Los Angeles, Hollywood.
Mahima made her digital debut as Cheeku (19 years old) in Rangbaaz Season 2 in 2019.
