Katy Perry and Alesso When I’m Gone leaked: During halftime of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Katy Perry and Alesso will premiere the music video for “When I’m Gone.” The traditional halftime show will not be performed at this year’s College Football Playoff National Championship.
Instead, Katy Perry and Alesso will premiere their new music video for “When I’m Gone” during halftime in Alabama and Georgia on ESPN.
Here’s the music video trailer:
Katy Perry and Alesso make their music video debut during the title game halftime. In a press release, Laura Gentile, executive vice president of commercial marketing for Disney Networks and ESPN, said, “The National Championships are the perfect stage to inject breakthrough music into our broadcasts.” “Collaborating with world-class artists Alesso and Katy Perry to create a grand midfield experience for fans will only add to this cultural moment.”
Perry has taken part in a number of sporting events. She performed an unforgettable halftime show at the Super Bowl and was a guest pick on ESPN’s college game day.
“When it comes to my music videos, we all know I love pushing boundaries and pushing myself, as well as creating unique opportunities for my fans to see them,” Perry explained. “ESPN, and especially College GameDay, has a special place in my heart, so collaborating with Alesso to be one of the first artists to debut a global music video at ESPN’s live event was the perfect and natural match.”
Alabama and Georgia will face off for the national championship on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET.
