The Winner Of Miss America 2022 is Alaska – Emma Broyles. The first runner up was Lauren Bradford from Alabama.
She competed in the local preliminary Miss America program competition in her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska, as a 15-year-old high school sophomore. In her first competition, she received the title of Miss Anchorage’s Outstanding Teen.
That same year, Broyles competed in and won the Miss Alaska Outstanding Teen pageant.
After a year as Miss Alaska’s Outstanding Teen, Broyles took a break from competitions to finish high school and enrol at ASU in Barrett, The Honors College, where she studies biomedical sciences and voice performance.
Broyles, 19, will have an unusually hectic semester, juggling her Miss Alaska obligations and schoolwork while preparing for the Miss America competition, which will be aired live from Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena.
Students at Barrett Honors College may recognize Broyles from her appearances on the college’s social media and as an event emcee.
Broyles paused to reflect on her experiences as a Miss America candidate and an ASU student.
The fourth runner up was Oregon – Abigail Hayes. The third runner up was New York – Sydney Park.
