A RIPPED Australian fitness star Sophie Guidolin has reacted angrily to vile trolls who accused her of sharing an overly “sexualized” photo with her son.
33 years old Sophie Guidolin celebrated her son Kai’s 15th birthday by posting several photos of him on her Instagram page.
Sophie has had two marriages in her life. She fell in love with her ex-husband Nathan Wallace at first sight. Kia and Ryder are their two children.
Sophie Guidolin is currently dating Hayden Sumners, according to reports, and she made it official with an Instagram post. Hayden works as a cop.
The image that sparked outrage was of the 33-year-old giving her son a big hug while wearing a green leopard print bikini.
Sophie Guidolin is a well-known nutritionist and influencer with over 560,000 followers.
The post, titled “Happy 15th Kay,” included photos of him as a baby as well as those from his adolescence.
But it was a photo of the 33-year-old giving her son a big hug while wearing a green leopard print bikini that sparked outrage.
The mum-of-four, who has over 560,000 followers on Instagram, was forced to edit the post after some of her followers complained about it.
Trolls flooded the Queensland influencer and nutritionist’s inbox with negative comments about the photo, she said.
Sophie, however, was having none of it, taking to Instagram to launch a full-throated defense of her actions.
She pounded: “Posing for sex? For f**k’s sake, I’m hugging my son!
“We live on Australia’s Gold Coast, where wearing a bikini to the beach is so out of the ordinary that I didn’t even consider putting a disclaimer on this photo.”
The actress explained that she was in her bikini, swimming in the pool, when her son woke up and she dashed over for a birthday photo.
Kai didn’t want to linger because he was eager to ride his new bike, which Sophie had given him, so a quick photo had to suffice.
“Do I have a problem wearing a bikini in front of my sons?” the enraged mother continued. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Why? Because I’m not sexualized to him, and I’ve never been sexualized to him.
“If you have a problem, perhaps you should investigate why you feel the need to sexualize a woman’s body instead of simply being a mother and her son at the pool!”
Some of Sophie’s followers expressed surprise that people had a problem with her photo.
“It’s disgusting that people even think that way,” one person said. You’re literally a mother taking a birthday photo with her son.
“I can’t believe anyone would want to sexualize that.”
Others were taken aback when she had to explain herself.
“How sad you have to explain yourself for god’s sakes people it’s SKIN we all have, she’s not naked,” another user commented.
Sophie went even further in her attempt to quell the accusations of the “sexualized” photo, emphasizing the importance of viewing bodies as “normal.”
She ended by saying: “It’s not something to be ashamed of, and it’s something I really, really emphasize and drive home with my boys.
“They don’t look at me and say, ‘Oooo, what a sexy bum you’ve got.’ So stop sexualizing bodies, and bodies will stop sexualizing themselves.”
Sophie Guidolin founded The Bod, a nutrition and fitness firm, after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes prior to the birth of her first child.
The nineteen-year-old was compelled to “actively begin to learn about nutrition and what goes into my body.”
When she was out pushing her pram, her multi-million dollar business came to her.
Sophie Guidolin also has six-year-old twins and a 14-year-old son.
