Sona is a BTech engineering graduate in Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering from Bhubaneswar College of Engineering and Technology. She also holds an MBA in marketing and systems from the Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD in Pune. She later worked as a brand manager at Marico, where she was in charge of brands such as Parachute and Mediker.
