After Odia Actress Rashmirekha Ojha, Her Boyfriend Also Commits Suicide

After the suicide of famous Odia actress Rashmirekha Ojha a few days ago, her boyfriend Santosh Patra has also committed suicide. According to reports, Santosh Patra’s body was discovered hanging from a noose in his house in Basanti Colony, Rourkela, Odisha, on Wednesday (July 6).

Santosh committed suicide after being questioned by police

According to reports, Santosh Patra was questioned by the Commissioner of Police in connection with his girlfriend Rashmirekha Ojha’s death, and he is believed to have committed suicide late last night. According to reports, Santosh was taken to a nearby hospital as soon as he was discovered hanging in the room. However, the doctor later declared Santosh dead. After receiving information about the incident, the Uditnagar police station opened an investigation.

Santosh Patra suffered from mental illness

Meanwhile, Santosh’s mother stated that her son was depressed and psychologically disturbed following the death of his girlfriend Rashmirekha. As a result, he took this serious step. Her mother continued, “He had attempted suicide several times. We were somehow keeping him alive by comforting him. However, after leaving the police station, he became preoccupied with Rashmirekha’s death. Finally, he took this drastic step.”

Suicide by a girlfriend 15 days prior

Santosh Patra’s girlfriend Rashmirekha’s body was discovered hanging in his rented house in Bhubaneswar’s Nayapali area 15 days before his death. Rashmirekha’s father, who is 23 years old, then accused the actress’s live-in partner, Santosh Patra. He had blamed Santosh Patra for Rashmirekha’s death.

Both lived together as husband and wife

During the investigation into Rashmirekha’s death, her father told the media that Santosh Patra informed him of his daughter’s death. He had stated, “Rashmirrekha did not return our calls. Later, Santosh informed us of her death. The landlord of the house informed us that Santosh and Rashmi lived together as husband and wife. We found out about it. There was no information available.”

Rashmirekha Ojha’s suicide note

Let us remind you that the police have not been able to determine the exact cause of the actress’s suicide. The police had opened an investigation into an unnatural death. According to reports, the police also discovered Rashmirekha’s suicide note. Rashmirekha did not blame anyone for her death in her suicide note.
