Isis moved to Belo Horizonte at age 15 and began a brief modelling career. At 18, she went to Rio de Janeiro to start a theatre course and try her hand at acting.

Her character and the romance with the bricklayer Robson, played by Marcelo Faria, were pointed out as one of the main causes of the serial’s audience. The couple even left TV for real life and had a brief relationship after the end of the soap opera.
