India Vs Pakistan: India has started with a win in the Women’s World Cup. In their first match, Team India defeated Pakistan by 107 runs.
India set a target of 245 runs ahead of Pakistan earlier this day in the Women’s ODI World Cup. Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana both batted brilliantly for Team India. They both contributed 122 runs in 97 balls for the seventh wicket.
Pooja scored the most runs for India, 67 off 59 balls. Simultaneously, Sneh Rana was unbeaten on 53 runs in 48 balls. Aside from that, Smriti Mandhana batted for 52 runs off 75 balls. In 50 overs, the Indian team scored 244 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
The Indian team did not get off to a good start after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Shefali Verma got out for nothing. Following this, Deepti Sharma and Smriti Mandhana led India to a strong position. For the second wicket, the two batted together for 92 runs in 116 balls. India struck for the second time on a total score of 96 runs. Deepti was ejected after scoring 40 runs. Following this, Smriti scored her 21st ODI half-century. She couldn’t last much longer after that.
India Vs Pakistan: Pakistan Innings
Pakistan had a slow start. After eight overs, the team had scored 12 runs without losing a wicket.
Pakistan lost their first wicket at 28 runs. Jhulan Goswami caught opener Javeria Khan by Rajeshwari Gaikwad. She batted 11 runs in 28 balls in her inning.
Pakistan got the second blow on the score of 53 runs in the 18th over. Deepti Sharma got the Pakistani captain Bismah Maroof caught by Richa Ghosh.
Pakistan got the sixth blow on the total score of 87 runs. On the last ball of the 30th over, Rajeshwari Gaikwad got Aliya Riaz stumped by Richa Ghosh.
Pakistan got the ninth blow at the score of 114 in the 37th over. Sneh Rana got Nashra Sandhu caught by Richa Ghosh.
