She was born on September 30, 1967, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. She attended a reputable school in Delhi, India, before enrolling at Meerut University. In 1992, she relocated to Mumbai in search of a prominent agency to advertise her handicrafts firm in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
Deepti Bhatnagar received her primary and secondary schooling in Delhi and her college study in Meerut. She moved to Mumbai in search of a reputable advertising firm to market her handicrafts factory in Meerut. She signed up for a Roopmilan Saree press ad by accident, and it transformed her life forever. Soon after, she began to sign modelling jobs one after the other, and she quickly rose to become one of the most sought-after models.
She rose to prominence after winning the Eves Weekly competition and appeared in several fashion shows in India and overseas. She finally made her acting debut in 1995 with the Hindi film Ram Shastra. In this film, she was cast with prominent performers such as Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, and Aditya Pancholi.
