Luiseth Materán, a model and communicator, will represent Venezuela in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, it was announced on June 2 on the Venevisión program “Portadas.”

Early Life of Luiseth Materán
Materán was born on July 14, 1996, in Los Teques, Miranda. Before competing in the Miss Venezuela competition, she earned a bachelor’s degree with honours in Social Communication with a focus on Publicity and Audiovisual Arts from Andrés Bello Catholic University in Caracas. She later became the CCO of Red Social de Conocimiento CEOS.
On the other hand, Luiseth has aided in the realm of performing. She will soon make her Television debut.

The appointment piqued the 25-year-old mannequin’s interest. She told the media “I sincerely hope that I will be able to rise to the occasion of representing our country,” she said.
Materán admitted that she had fantasized about becoming a national representative at one point, but not under the current circumstances.

Luiseth revealed that she had already spent time with the news when she was appointed. “I must admit that she had been aware of it for a few days. It was the best-kept secret I’d ever had. I didn’t know what to think when I got the call from the Miss Venezuela Organization; I thought I was dreaming and began to tremble. I told the director who called me, Molly (Gabriela Isler), that I wasn’t expecting the call and that I would check her cell phone to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. This is still how I feel.
Luiseth Materán, who stands 1.78 meters tall and was born in Los Teques, describes herself as “very disciplined” and “more proudly Venezuelan than ever.”
