Mishti was born Indrani Chakraborty on December 21, 1987, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, to a Bengali family. Her mother, Beena Chakraborty, is a housewife, while her father is a businessman in the construction industry.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Kolkata University. After 2014, she began using the name Mishti professionally. Despite her mother’s wishes for her to become a professor, Mishti had always been drawn to modelling and acting, and she had set her sights on becoming an actor.

Career

She made her Bollywood debut in Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi: The Unbreakable and her Telugu debut in Nithiin-A. Karunakaran’s Chinnadana Nee Kosam.
