Aamna Sharif is an Indian television actress known for portraying Kashish in Kahiin to Hoga and Komolika Chaubey Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.

Aamna Sharif was born on 16 July 1982 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to an Indian father and a Persian-Bahraini mother.

In 2012, Sharif revealed that she suffers from acrophobia (extreme or irrational fear or phobia of heights) since childhood.

The couple had their first child a boy in September 2015. They named that son as Arain Kapoor. Since then she is less active in entertainment world.

During her second year in college, Sharif started receiving offers for modelling of various brands. Sharif started her career through featuring in music videos.

Original song of musical blockbuster Aashiqui Dil Ka Aalam was recreated and Aamna Sharif starred in it and caught fans eyes.

There were rumors that Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Sharif were dating each other during their show but both denied the rumours.

After becoming famous in the TV industry, Aamna Sharif made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with the film Aloo Chaat opposite Aftab.

During the film, their closeness grew and Aftab fell in love with Aamna. But this relationship did not last long and there was a rift in this relationship.

In 2014, she appeared in Mohit Suri's Ek Villain. However, none of the films gained her recognition making her return to television.

In 2019, Sharif made her television comeback after six years with Star Plus's Kasautii Zindagii Kay where she plays the antagonist Komolika Basu replacing Hina Khan.

Aamna also renounced her religion for the sake of her love. Aamna was Muslim and converted to Hindu to marry her boyfriend Amit Kapoor.

After television shows and movie roles, Aamna is all set to venture into the OTT space with Damaged’ Season 3.

Aamna Sharif once in an interview told that her mother was completely against her decision of making career in modelling and acting.
