Veda Krishnamurthy, the aggressive batter of the Indian women’s team, has written an emotional post in memory of her mother and her elder sister. Veda Krishnamurthy’s mother, Cheluvambda Devi, passed away on April 24th due to Covid.
Appreciate all the messages I have received about the loss of my Amma. As you can imagine my family is lost without her. We now pray for my sister. I have tested negative & appreciate if you can respect our privacy. My thoughts & prayers go out to those going through the same!!— Veda Krishnamurthy (@vedakmurthy08) April 24, 2021
Veda was not even there because of this sorrow that her elder sister, who was the biggest reason behind her playing cricket, also passed away due to Covid on May 6th.
Her sister Vastala Shivkumar was 42 years old and she was a widow. In 2003, Vastala lost her husband due to a road accident. Vastala encouraged Veda to play cricket and take it as a career option. And to avail good facilities for Veda she moved to Bangalore from her home town Chikkamagaluru.
It is with great sadness that last night my family had to say goodbye to My Akka My family, my world has been rocked to its core. Appreciate all the messages and prayers . My thoughts with everyone going through these devastating times. Hold your loved ones tight and stay safe 🙏— Veda Krishnamurthy (@vedakmurthy08) May 6, 2021
Even after losing her two loved ones in such a short time, Veda is seen helping others on social media. But today she has written an emotional message remembering her mother and elder sister.
“To My Beautiful Amma And Akka
The Last Few Days Have Been Very Heart Breaking To All Of Us At Home. You Both Were The Foundation Of Our House Never Imagined I Would Be Seeing This Day Knowing That You Both Are Not With Me, It Breaks My Heart.
Amma,U Have Made A Brave Child, Taught Me To Be As Practical As I Can In Every Situation The Trait Obviously Is Passed On By You. You Were The Most Beautiful, Happy, Selfless Person I Ever Knew. Akka, I Know I Was Your Most Favourite Person. You Are A Fighter, Have Inspired Me To Never Let Go Till The Last Minute.
You Were Those Two People Who Found Joy In Everything I Did, Everything I Said. I Always Had A Very Big Ego That I Have Two Mothers But Guess Ego Is Never Too Good For Anyone. The Last Few Days I Spent With You Both Was So Relaxing And We Were All So Happy Never Imagined That Would Be Our Last.
My World Has Just Gone Upside Down After You Both Left Me. Not Sure How We As Family Are Going To Regroup. All I Can Say Is That I Love You Both So Very Much And Will Miss You Both.
Thanks To All The Love I Received.
In The End I Would Like To Urge People To Please Follow The Covid Rules And Take Precautions, This Virus Is Very Dangerous My Family Did Everything Right But Still Virus Found It’s Way.
My Heart Goes To Everyone Else Going Through The Same Situation As Mine.
Stay Safe! Stay Strong”
