Two Big IPL Matches To Be Held On Super Sunday, The 171 Connection

Today, there will be two big IPL matches in which the number seven and eight of the points table, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, will take on each other. Punjab Kings XI and Delhi Capitals will face each other in the second match.

Both Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are losing their last match to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. And the most interesting thing is that both of them had scored a score of 171 in their last match while batting first, which was chased by the opposition team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will come out with a new captain today. Yesterday, the management of Sunrisers had said in a press release that from now on throughout IPL 2021, the captain of the team will be Kane Williamson in place of David Warner. This year, under the captaincy of David Warner, the team has played six matches, of which the team has won only one match.

Rajasthan Royals, playing under the same young captain Sanju Samsung, were also able to win in only two matches in their six matches.

Both teams will definitely want to win this match so that it remains in the tournament because the team that loses today will have to work hard to qualify in the playoffs.

The match will start today at 3:30 pm and will be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi. In this match, we can expect a high score because yesterday the match was played between Mumbai and Chennai on the same ground in which Mumbai had chased the target of 219 runs. This pitch is batting friendly, and the ground is also very small, which makes it very easy for the batsman to clear the boundary.

Both the teams can make some changes in their playing eleven. And everyone’s eyes will be on whether David Warner will play today’s match or will Jason Roy be replaced in his place.

Today, the second IPL match will be played between Punjab Kings XI and Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Both Punjab and Delhi are has won their last match. While Delhi defeated Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore.

If we talk about the point table, Delhi is currently at number two, while Punjab is at number five. So if Delhi wins this match today, it will move to the number one position in the points table. But, on the other hand, if Punjab wins this match today, it will remain at number five, or if it wins by a good margin, it can move to number four, pushing Mumbai back.

Punjab opener and its captain KL Rahul is on the number one position in the list of batsmen who scored the most runs, while Delhi openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are on the third and fourth position in this list.

Delhi played their last match on this ground in which they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders. Although the pitch of Narendra Modi Stadium is favorable for batting, it is not so easy to clear the boundary here due to the size of the ground. The match will start at 7:30 pm today and you can watch the match live on Hotstar and Star Sports Network.
