Odiha News: The NIA (National Investigation Agency) has imposed sections of the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) against Sachin Vaje. National Investigation Agency on Wednesday filed an application informing the special NIA court about adding UAPA clauses in the case. According to sources, Assistant Inspector Sachin Vaje has been charged under sections 16 and 18 of the UAPA act.
What NIA may Try to find
The National Investigation Agency is constantly questioning Sachin Vaje. As per an English news media, Sachin Vaje can still make many serious revelations. The police are also interrogating them in many old cases. On 25 February in Mumbai, explosives were recovered from a car near Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani house Antilia. Suspended Sub Inspector Sachin Vaje is in NIA custody in this case. The agency is also investigating the case of Mansukh Hiran’s murder. Meanwhile, a Thane court on Wednesday directed the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad to halt the investigation into Mansukh Hiren’s death and hand over records related to the case to the NIA immediately.
Mansukh Hiren’s Murder
The carcass of the Mansukh Hiren was found on March 5 from a lake in Thane. On March 20, the Union Home Ministry handed over the investigation to the National Investigation Agency. But the ATS investigation was also going on. The ATS claimed two days ago that it had settled the Mansukh Hiren’s death. The National Investigation Agency constantly questioning Vaje and if sources believe that Sachin Vaje can make many revelations. The police are also interrogating them in many old cases.
ATS arrested Shinde and Gaur last week
NIA took into custody Wednesday evening the two accused arrested by the Maharashtra ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) connected with the killing of the Mansukh Hiren. An official said that the NIA detained both suspended policemen Vinayak Shinde and cricket bookie Naresh Gaur. Please tell that the ATS arrested Shinde and Gaur last week.
What is UAPA law
Under this law, the government identifies people who are involved in terrorist activities. This law prepares and promotes someone for a terrorist incident, and it can be imposed under which the property of the person concerned can be confiscated. This gave the government the strength to declare a person involved in terrorist activities as a terrorist.
Sections on Sachin Vaje
NIA imposed (Case RC no. 01/2021 / NIA / MUM) sections 120B, 286, 465, 473, 506 (2) of the IPC and section 4 (a) (b) (I) of the Explosive Substances Act 1908 on Sachin Vaje.
