Odiha News: The IPL auctions are going on for the Indian and foreign players for IPL 14 starting in April.

Chris Morris, the South African allrounder who was released by RCB last year, was bought at the all-time highest bid in IPL history of 16.25 Crore by Rajasthan Royals. The base price for the player was 75 lakhs. Previous Yuvraj Singh held the record of being the most expensive player when RCB bought him in IPL8 in 2015. Chris Morris played 70 IPL matches and has scored 551 runs at an average of 23.96. His highest score is 82 runs. He has taken 80 wickets.
Chris Morris was third highest in regard of the price in 2020 IPL, last year Pat Cummins was the highest-paid player whom KKR bought with 15.5 crores.
RCB has bought Glen Maxwell at a whopping 14.25 crores rupees for the IPL 2021. RCB and CSK rallied the bid up to 14.25 crores, where finally Chennai stopped increasing the bid. In his 82 matches, Maxwell has scored 1505 runs at an average of 22.13. His highest score in IPL is 95, and he has taken 19 wickets.
Maxwell played for Kings XI Punjab but did not have a good season. Maxwell played 13 matches in the Indian Premier League 2020 and scored only 108 runs only.
Kolkata bought Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib-al-Hassan for Rupees 3.20 crores. Punjab and Kolkata were bidding for Shakib. But Shakib may not be available for the whole IPL season. He has played 63 matches and scored 746 runs, and has taken 59 wickets.
Kolkata Knight Riders bought India’s Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh for two crores, his base price. Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting bought at his base price Rupees 75 Lakhs. Indian bowling all-rounder Pawan Negi was bought at his base price of 50 lakhs.
Karnataka batsman Karun Nair bought at his base price 50 lakhs.
CSK bought Moeen Ali as they badly wanted an off-spinning all-rounder in their team. Moeen Ali has scored 309 runs in 19 matches and has taken 10 wickets in the Indian Premier League. Chennai also bought Chetaswar Pujara at his base price of 50 Lakhs.
Delhi Capitals bought ex-Australian captain Steven Smith. Steve Smith, playing 95 matches in IPL, has scored 2333 runs with an average of 35.35 including 1 century.
Delhi Capitals also bought England’s all rounder Tom Curran at Rupees 5.25 crores, his base price was 1.50 crores. DC also bought England’s wicketkeeper batsman Sam Billings at his base price Rupees 2.0 crores.
Australian limited over captain Aaron Finch goes unsold. Aaron Finch played from Bengaluru last time, but his performance was not very good.
New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 15 crores, while fast bowler Jhye Richardson of Australia has been bought by Punjab Kings for Rupees 14 crores. Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian was bought for 4.80 crores (his base price was Rupees 75 lakhs).
Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube was bought by Rajasthan Royals at 4.40 crores. At the same time, Indian all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham has been bought by Chennai Super Kings for 9.25 Crores, and India’s emerging batsman Shah Rukh Khan has been bought by Punjab Kings XI for Rupees 5.25 crores.
England’s top order batsman Liam Livingstone was bought at his base price of Rupees 75 lakhs. Banglades bowler Mustafizur Rahman was bought at Rupees one crore.

Also bought Jimes Neesham at his base price Rupees 50 Lakh. Australian allounder Nathan Coulter-Nile was bought by MI at Rupees 5 crores, his base price was Rupees 1.50 crores.
Arjun Tendulkar, son of India’s great batsman Sachin Tendulkar, has been bought by Mumbai Indians at his base price, 2000000 Rupees.
