Odiha News: The Election Commission yesterday announced election dates for five states. It will be the first major test of the Modi-led government in the center and their policies. Assembly elections are set to take place in the state of Assam. Voting in the 126-seat Assam constituency will take place in three phases. The first round of voting is scheduled for March 27, the second on April 1, and the last one on April 6. The counting of votes will take place on 2nd May for all five states, including Assam.
According to an Opinion Poll conducted by ABP News and C Voters, the BJP is expected to get 42 percent of the vote in Assam. On the other hand, opinion polls show that 31 percent of the vote goes to Congress and 24 percent to other’s accounts.
According to opinion polls by ABP News and C voters, the BJP in Assam is likely to win 68 to 76 seats. Similarly, Congress may win 43 to 51 seats. Other accounts may have 5-19 seats. The magic number for the 126 seats in the Assam Assembly is 64.
According to ABP News and C Voter Surveys, the people of Assam want to see Sarbananda Sonowal again as Chief Minister. Forty four percent of those surveyed have voted for Sarbananda for the chief minister. In second place is Gaurav Gogoi, son of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Congress leader. Twenty-six percent of those surveyed said he was the first choice as chief minister.
Sonwal played an important role in the uprooting of the Congress government in Assam and upheld Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trust by waving the Bharatiya Janata Party’s glory. The image of Sarbananda Sonowal within RSS, PM Modi, and BJP is considered very clean. Even within the BJP, during his more than 1 decade, his image is said to be impeccable and clean. His name has never appeared in any controversies, which is why he is counted among PM Modi’s favorites.
